Asthma is condition where the patient experiences extreme difficulty in breathing due to inflammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs. Asthma patients experience pain due to gasping and laboured breathing causing the air passage to narrow resulting in breathing difficulties.
Ayurveda considers asthma to be the result of aggravation of kapha and vata doshas resulting from an accumulation of toxins in the body.
